The İstanbul Kültür University Faculty of Education Department of Psychological Counseling and Guidance started education in the 2013-2014 Academic Year. The course contents of the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Program, which was supported and enriched by the academic staff of the İKÜ Department of Psychology, have been prepared according to the Bologna Process criteria as a result of the workshops held together with the counselors and managers of the Kültür Schools. Students will be offered a total of 240 ECTS in the undergraduate program, from which they will graduate with B2 level English in accordance with the European Language Passport criteria within the principles of the Bologna Process.
The Psychological Counseling and Guidance undergraduate program places great importance on providing an interdisciplinary education. Accordingly, a modern and comprehensive course content has been prepared for the students of the program to become individuals who are equipped with professional knowledge as well as artistic and cultural knowledge and who have adopted the principle of lifelong learning and the essence of teaching philosophy.
All educational institutions from kindergartens to high schools under the roof of the Kültür Educational Institutions will be utilized for internships and applied training opportunities of PCG students. Therefore, our students will be able to establish dialogues and connections with experienced counselors in their profession and will have the opportunity to get to know the school environment early on in their education and training processes.
