Dear Program of Psychological Counseling and Guidance Students,
Increasingly complex living conditions enhances people's need for support and help on various issues day by day. One of the professions that provide services to meet this need is the psychological counselling profession, where you take your first step. When you graduate, as a psychological counsellor, your contributions to the educational, professional, and personal-social development of people and their ability to cope with problems will make significant contributions to the mental health, development and productivity of both the individuals you serve and the society.
A great deal of work falls on the experts who can effectively provide the guidance and psychological counselling services students need in matters such as knowing themselves, discovering their interests and abilities, developing their capacities, solving their problems, adapting to their environment in a healthy way, increasing their academic success, making career plans and realistic decisions, etc. In addition to educational environments, PDR graduates provide services in mental health institutions, rehabilitation centres, social assistance institutions, justice institutions, human resources units in various institutions or organizations, etc. which will contribute to the well-being of people.
We sincerely believe that you will be able to easily transfer the professional knowledge, skills and equipment you have acquired in the Program of Guidance and Psychological Counselling to your students and clients in the future, and that you will grow up as individuals who follow professional ethics, do their research, think, question, and contribute to the individual and society by keeping human values in the foreground.
With our best wishes for your success…
