Within the scope of the "RPD Practice in Schools 1" course, a meeting was held with the psychological counselors in the practice schools on Friday, November 12 at 16.30 in the 3rd floor multi-purpose seminar hall of Ataköy campus by the Department of Educational Sciences. With the meeting held under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Alim Kaya and Assist. Prof. Meryem Demir Güdül, information was shared to increase university-school cooperation.

The İstanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Faculty of Education Department of Educational Sciences organized the Community Service Practices 1st Sharing Days event on October 27, 2017.

Darüşşafaka Society Corporate Communication Unit Specialist Bahar Paykoç, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Feyza Doyran made a presentation about “Equal Opportunities in Education” to raise awareness.

The role of school counselor candidates in community service practices was discussed.

The event titled “Disability Is No Barrier to Success” was held in cooperation with the İKÜ PCG Club and the İKÜ Department of Educational Sciences. A Six Points Association of the Blind representative, Association of the Visually Handicapped athletes, Türkan Saylan Sabancı Visually Handicapped School psychological counselor and Nefus Nakipoğlu Special Education Application Center students, teachers and parents met with the students of our University. The disabled individuals shared their experiences and achievements and gave the message that we can overcome obstacles together.
